So, the cover for Devon Delaney Should Totally Know Better is out, can you believe it?




I am thrilled to the bone, as you can imagine. Lauren Barnholdt still won't tell what its all about. The only hint she's giving is Devon's up for more drama. Description ; Devon gets caught up in a semi-scandalous love triangle, that she accidentally turns into a love square. From the looks of the cover, I think Devon is shoplifting, maybe?

Lauren B is also writing two new books, one is a chapter series called HAILEY TWITCH IS NOT A SNITCH and the other is ACES UP... AND OTHER PERKS OF A FAKE ID.






FADE will be out soon, Oh my, oh my, oh my! Tomorrow, I will compose an email to check if Kinokuniya has already pre-ordered it or not. I did mention this to Liz on my previous email. Lisa told me to wait for it on Feb 10. How I wish I could get my hands on it.

Qawwali Music

A few days back, Uncle Rosli convinced (persuaded perhaps? haha) me to blog about Qawwali music. He had me listen to the songs while waiting for Amal. I even read some of the facts about Qawwali music provided in the album. At first, I thought it was the typical Diwali musics my father listens to but as Uncle Rosli explained, it was actually Qawwali music.

Qaul (Arabic) is an "utterance (of the prophet)", Qawwāl is someone who often repeats (sings) a Qaul, Qawwāli is the style of singing of Qawwāls


Qawwali is a devotional music of Sufism which is widely well-known on the Indian subcontinents. Most listeners, the devoted Qawwali music fans would experienced some sort of trance like state of being called wajad. During this state, they will feel at one with God and is often considered as the height of spiritual ecstasy in Sufism.

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was the first person who helped put this genre of music on the map. Qawwali music can be on other regional languanges instead of the common, Urdu and Punjabi. This music helps bring you closer to Allah as it is also some sort of praises to the One.

A qawwali party isn't technically a party. It is actually a group consist of 8-10 Qawwali musicians. There is also the presence of harmonium in the party which could be played by anyone in the party. The songs are mostly 15-30 minutes but it could stretch as long as 115 minutes ( literally, longer than some movies I've seen). I believe, the songs are long because it needs deep concentration and pure attention to actually feel the effect of Qawwali music. Once, you are in, the music just sears into your soul and when you are done, you feel like you are reborned again. That is, if you understand the meaning of the song. If not, all you would be thinking is what is these noises?


So, if you are one to be spiritualised or feels like the need of Qawwali music playing to your ears, I suggest you do. You might like it.

Cruel and injustice life.

Despite the fact that some of you (i know for sure) think I'm completely oblivious and couldn't care less about this blog, it isnt like that. Was never like that. Trust me. The blog was the only constant thing on my mind. I sometimes catch myself thinking of describing my day in a blog manner. See? Just keep having faith in me, blog. I don't dissapoint. I may not show too much affection, but I will always come back.

It isnt only the blog, I've been neglecting everything on the net. Facebook, polyvore, everythinggirl. Oh god, the agony! Hah. The only explanation I could come up with is now that insomnia has drifted away to somewhere very far ahead, I tend to sleep more and 8 hours isnt even enough. Not at all. My body is taking revenge on those sleepless nights I spent going online. To make it worse, I have tons of homework to be due next week and haven't even started on any. Feeling so restless. I might be going out today to look for cloths for my class. This is what happens when the teacher you were bestowed upon has zero sense of creativity in herself. They ought to pay me for this! I'm doing it voluntarily.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I miss creating sets. Seriously. Its even better than getting faves. Just to be exploring all the wonderful textures and the possibility of how the outcome would be, ahh. Great feeling of adrenaline rush. I still do immature sets since my talent hasn't bloom yet. Probably even wont. Ha ha.

Well. Hello there! I haven't been around for a while, I know. And I probably won't either. I suck at blogging so much, I've decided not to devote myself to it. Especially since I am pretty much a pharaoh in the blogosphere.

Is it just me or is everyone getting caught up with the hype that is Twitter? The first time I heard of it, I was like 'Eww. Whatever'. Then, I did my routine of checking authors blog and saw that most of them has a Twitter account. On account of jumping in the bandwagon, I created myself a Twitter too. It was too late to click cancel by the time I've realised that it was a pointless task. I mean, I'm not famous enough or perhaps even famous at all to have people following my twits. So, why bother creating a Twitter than people would just avoid like plague. And right this second, my Twitter account is still there, lifeless.

I am now 15 years old 6 Months and 9 Days. It is so easy to count my age, I feel the need of boasting about it. If you're having a hard time adjusting to the new school schedule, well, Hello There! We're on the same lane. I get exhausted easily and insomnia decides to strike, again! It doesn't help to the fact that I feel like I'm going to explode anytime now. I am sooooooooo fat. I think the weighing machine lies. I can't possibly be 55 kg right? Perghhhhhhhhh.
